Rain, Rain Go Away!


Hello!!  I apologize for not publishing last week.  My husband had surgery and I have been playing the single mom role (well at least the single driver role) and I have been exhausted and overwhelmed!  My hats off to all of you who do it on your own all the time.

Saturday, May 21 - Kite Ink Workshop

Kids will draw something nifty, cut a stencil (possibly with a little help from parents) and then screenprint onto a piece of paper that we'll assemble into a kite. Also: Please bring 2 plastic supermarket bags to make the tails. But if you forget it's ok as we'll have some extra. *If the weather is nice, bring some lunch for a picnic as we'll go over to Platte Park (4 blocks east of studio) and take them for a test fly once we're finished up.

Let the Babies Boogie!
It is Sunday afternoon and the kids are restless. What do you do? We know a place, the perfect location, in Old Town Arvada on Grandview Avenue called the D Note. Every Sunday the kids, from 1 month to 12 years old, come and enjoy music, both by listening to it, playing it and dancing to it. Parents relax at their tables, watching the kids dance and play together - great entertainment in and of itself. The children make new friends and greet some old ones. Some even make this a weekly gathering spot.

A list of local library, store and museum storytimes

Jefferson County Library storytimes are designed for specific age groups. Please bring your child to the appropriate one.
Baby Time is for babies up to 2 years, unless otherwise specified.
Toddlers are 2-3 years old.
Preschoolers are 4-6 years old.
Family Nights are for all ages.
Children under 4 years must be with an adult during storytime.
