I am so excited to be heading out the annual Macaroni Kid Meetup tomorrow.  A great opportunity to meet up with publishers from across the country and share ideas and learn all kinds of wonderful new Macaroni fun!  It certainly doesn't hurt that this years Meetup is in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida!!!  I am ready to lay on the beach under an umbrella with an umbrella drink in my hand.  : )

Spooky and Kooky Spiderweb Craft


So for some off-the-wall reason, our Munchkin's favorite Halloween decoration by far is the spiderwebs with the spiders. But she's completely grossed out by them and freaked out by the ones that look a little too real.

We came up with this fun variation of a paper mache craft to satisfy her need for spider decorations here at home. We also used colorful spiders to keep her from getting too creeped out but you can use any kind of spiders you want!

Lite Kettle Corn


Sure, we know you can stick in the microwave, but do me a favor give this stove top kettle corn a try. It’s easy, fun and delicious! Trust me, make this popcorn! Ingredients
1/4 cup Canola oil
1/3 cup unpopped corn kernels
1/4 cup sugar cane
salt to taste

1. Put the oil in a pot and heat to medium high. Handles and a cover are your friend today!

Participants in "Forensics: Who Done It?", presented by the Denver Museum of Nature and Science (DMNS), will use forensic science to solve a crime by analyzing realistic crime evidence, and learn how CSI agents use the scientific process to solve crimes.

The sale is huge, the impact is even bigger! This event generates thousands of dollars of financial resources that the Action Center is able to turn back into food, shelter and much more for our neighbors in need. People flock from all over, even out of state, to shop the Beautiful Junk Sale. ABOUT THE ACTION CENTER Annually, the Action Center provides assistance to more than 28,000 Jefferson County residents. Services to the community include a food pantry, clothing bank, 22-bed homeless shelter, transportation, utility assistance and much more. With the help of more than 2,900 yearly, the Action Center gives help, provides hope and builds dignity while breaking the cycle of poverty.

Let the Babies Boogie!
It is Sunday afternoon and the kids are restless. What do you do? We know a place, the perfect location, in Old Town Arvada on Grandview Avenue called the D Note. Every Sunday the kids, from 1 month to 12 years old, come and enjoy music, both by listening to it, playing it and dancing to it. Parents relax at their tables, watching the kids dance and play together - great entertainment in and of itself. The children make new friends and greet some old ones. Some even make this a weekly gathering spot.

Cars 2 is touring the country, and they're stopping at the Children's Museum of Denver for a day of fun!

Experience Bear Creek Lake Park with all its ghostly magic in an evening of ghostly trails and tales. Walk along the Owl Trail and discover critters of the night. After your walk warm your toes by the fire at the amphitheater and enjoy roasting marshmallows and sipping hot chocolate. Hawk Quest will also be at the visitor center with their live birds of prey.
