TP Turkey


I have been hooked on this site called Pinterest. You basically "pin" or bookmark your favorite ideas, recipes, inspiration. You have to be invited to use the site. I don't see why because it's free to use, but if anyone needs an invite just leave a comment below and I'll invite you!

Turkey Day Shirt!


So stinkin' cute

Material needed:
-brown t-shirt or onesie(I purchased mine from Hobby Lobby for $2.99)
-various colors of felt(white, green, red, orange, yellow, black)
-fabric glue
-scissors
Optional Items:
-2 small black buttons
-needle
-thread
-ribbon for bow


Cut two small circles out of the white felt for the turkeys eyes.
I traced something round I had lying around the house. Cut a
triangle out of the orange felt. For the wattle (red hangy thingy) use
a piece of red felt. I had to kind of wing this one ...

Saturday, November 12 through Sunday, November 13 - Augustana Arts presents Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra “Fairy Tales, Games and Make-Believe”

Augustana Arts presents their annual family concert “Fairy Tales, Games and Make-Believe” directed by David Rutherford featuring the Musica Sacra Chamber Orchestra.  Children of all ages will be guided through Maurice Ravel's Mother Goose Suite, which features vivid musical depictions of scenes from well-known fairy tales like Sleeping Beauty, Tom Thumb and Beauty and the Beast. That will be followed by Children's Games. Finally, kids will get to make up their own stories for the music in William Walton's Music for Children. During and after the concert, the children will have an opportunity to see the instruments up close in our musical “petting zoo!
Where: Performances are Saturday, November 12 at Augustana Lutheran Church, 5000 E. Alameda Ave, and again on Sunday, November 13 at 3 p.m. at Abiding Hope Lutheran Church, 6337 South Robb Way in Littleton.

Sunday, November 13 - Baby Boogie

Let the Babies Boogie!
It is Sunday afternoon and the kids are restless. What do you do? We know a place, the perfect location, in Old Town Arvada on Grandview Avenue called the D Note. Every Sunday the kids, from 1 month to 12 years old, come and enjoy music, both by listening to it, playing it and dancing to it. Parents relax at their tables, watching the kids dance and play together - great entertainment in and of itself. The children make new friends and greet some old ones. Some even make this a weekly gathering spot.

Friday, November 25 - 2011 Candlelight Walk and Tree Lighting

Santa Claus and his sleigh will make their way down Main Street magically illuminating each block with more than one million lights on the trees and buildings. He’ll be joined by holiday revelers holding candles and flashlights. Local choirs and musical groups will provide entertainment at various Main Street locations while waiting for Santa’s arrival. Santa will begin his trip down the street starting at the courthouse at 6:30 p.m. The event culminates at the west end of Main Street where one lucky child's name will be drawn to help Santa throw the switch on the enormous, lighted trees in the plaza.

There are a lot of places in the metro area that have Kids Eat Free (or practically free) Nights!  Here is a list of ones that we know of, and we would love to hear about any that you know to add to our list!  Always call ahead to confirm that they are still having a Kid's Eat Free Night because restaurants can change these at any time.
