Denver Equestrians Summer Camp


Horse lovers ages 7+ join us weekdays from 9am - 4:30pm for equine education, safety, grooming, riding, fun and games! We follow the Certified Horsemanship Association curriculum. Campers are divided into groups according to age and ability. Each student participates in a 45-minute lesson daily.

Optional add-ons include a 2nd Group Lesson, Swimming, Denver Equestrians 2013 Tee Shirts - additional fees apply. Scroll down for details and information.

Dinosaur Ridge Summer Day Camps

Saturday, March 16 - 2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival

Green will be in the air on Saturday, March 16 as The Historic Olde Town Arvada Association puts on their 2nd Annual St. Patrick’s Day Festival. The day will start with live music, beer, wine, food, family fun and plenty of shopping options from street vendors. Last year’s festival brought over 4,000 people into the streets of Olde Town, and citizens have already started inquiring about this year’s event. Drienka, The Gromet, and The Duke Street Kings will be returning to fill the streets with great music, and will be joined by new addition Wild Love Tigress!

Fun with Pancakes


Shamrocks, Rainbows and More!

Rainbow cake and cupcakes have become very popular and with good reason, they are fun!  Kids and adults are amazed at the rainbow/tie-dye pattern that is created by adding a little bit of food coloring to cake batter.  

We decided to try the same experiment with pancakes! Colorful pancakes are very simple to make and you can create just about anything with a little bit of imagination! My boys ate them as quick as I made them, I had to hide a few just for photos!

A quick and easy, leprechaun (and kid) approved dessert for St. Patty's Day!

You will need:
1 box vanilla instant pudding (3.4 oz) *
4 tbsp powdered lime gelatin (3 oz box is more than enough) *
2 cups cold milk
crushed graham crackers
whipped topping
sprinkles - optional

Directions:
Combine pudding, milk and 4 tbsp of gelatin in a mixing bowl and whisk for approximately 2 minutes. Mixture will start to thicken and gelatin should be completely dissolved. Place in refrigerator for at least one hour, this will help the ...

St. Patrick's Day Play Dough


Macaroni Celebrates

We made green, black, and gold play dough, added a rainbow ribbon, and we are all set for St. Patrick's Day.

Ingredients:
  • 2 Cups of Flour
  • 2 Cups of Water
  • 1 Cup of Salt
  • 2 T of Vegetable Oil
  • 1 T of Cream of Tarter
  • Food Coloring
  • Glitter (optional)
Directions:
  1. Since I was making multiple colors, I cut the above recipe in half and did each color in separate batches. Add all of the above ingredients (except the glitter) and stir continuously over warm heat. I also added the ...

St. Patrick's Day Treat Pouches


Macaroni Celebrates

These St. Patrick's Day "Pouches" are the perfect size for a small treat or some "gold".

Supplies:
  • Envelopes (we used black envelopes sized 4.75" x 6.5" that we found at Michael's)
  • Glue tape or glue sticks
  • Decorative cardstock 12 x 12 (we used glittery gold and shamrocks)
  • Rainbow ribbon
  • Circle puncher (optional)

There are a lot of places in the metro area that have Kids Eat Free (or practically free) Nights!  Here is a list of ones that we know of, and we would love to hear about any that you know to add to our list!  Always call ahead to confirm that they are still having a Kid's Eat Free Night because restaurants can change these at any time.
