I know I say it every season and sometimes every month, but I just can't believe that it is 2011.  I was at the bank yesterday and had to fill out three different deposit slips because I just couldn't get the date right!  The holidays flew by and I miss them.  Granted the kids can drive me crazy after two weeks of being home but it is so fun to have them home and for me to get to be home too!

It is Sunday afternoon and the kids are restless. What do you do? We know a place, the perfect location, in Old Town Arvada on Grandview Avenue called the D Note. Every Sunday the kids, from 1 month to 12 years old, come and enjoy music, both by listening to it, playing it and dancing to it. Parents relax at their tables, watching the kids dance and play together - great entertainment in and of itself. The children make new friends and greet some old ones. Some even make this a weekly gathering spot.

The National Western Stock Show is bringing the rodeo to the Children's Museum of Denver!  Join us for a wild good time! Little cowboys and cowgirls can strap on hats, chaps and bandanas and saddle up for the Stick Horse Rodeo.

The action gets wild and woolly when the bucking chute flies open and the kids come spinning out on stick horses from the National Western’s string of surly rodeo broncs. Traditional “rough stock” events include bronc and bull riding. For the more refined cowhands there will be steer roping, pole bending and barrel racing.
