Build-A-Snowman Cookie Kits

With a corncob pipe, and a button nose...

By Jamie Twarogowski, Macaroni Kid Lakewood & Littleton, CO Publisher December 17, 2015
We love EVERYTHING snowmen. There is just something about the jolly, happy soul that makes me smile. Every time it snows, my daughter can't wait to get outside to make her own army of them! But the snow here lately has been so dry, it is impossible to form the correct snowballs. Instead, we have been coming up with other ways to create snowman fun, inside! So far, mostly with food.

We made these fun and playful treats to gave to our friends at preschool.

Here's what you need:
  • Sugar Cookies cut and baked into different size circles. (We used pre-made dough. Tip! Form the dough into different size logs. Refrigerate until firm, then slice and bake. No rolling and cutting needed!)

  • White royal icing. (We use meringue powder instead of egg whites to make our royal icing, safer to use than egg whites. You can find this at any craft store.)
