Strawberries are in season, and DELICIOUS right now! I love a good strawberry recipe!
This super easy recipe is an easy and delicious twist on traditional Strawberry Shortcake.
Ingredients:
- 1 Box White or Yellow Cake Mix
- 3 Eggs
- 1 8 oz. Package Softened Cream Cheese
- ¼ cup All Purpose Flour
- 2 Quarts of Strawberries
- ¼ cup Granulated Sugar
- Whipped Cream
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- Wash and cut up fresh strawberries, mix in a bowl with granulated sugar and set aside
- Mix cake mix, flour, eggs, and cream cheese in a bowl, the dough will be stiff and you may need to hand kneed it. Shape dough into 4 inch mounds and place on a greased cookie sheet
- Bake shortcake for 15 minutes or until golden brown
- Top shortcakes with strawberries and whipped cream
