As the mom of three boys I am always looking for something that can get my kids excited about learning.  Steve Spangler Science invited us to try out their Shaker Slime Kit and I jumped at the chance.  When I asked my boys if they wanted to make slime I received a resounding YES! 

Within minutes of opening up our kit all three boys had there hands full of ooey gooey slime, they were in heaven!  The Shaker Slime Kit from Steve Spangler Science was an instant hit in our house! 

The Shaker Slime Kit came with everything we needed to make the perfect slime.  Shaker cups, goo solutions, a measuring scoop and cup and even a stirring stick were all included in our kit.   We sat down with our measuring tools and slime making solutions and prepared to start our night of experiments.  We made secret slime, stretching slime, rubber slime and multi-colored slime.  The kit came with great instructions that were easy to follow.  It was the first time that all three of my boys had sat around the table without fighting in a long time.  I must admit that there was some yelling, but it really was more like squeals of delight. My oldest son was able to sit down and read the instructions and make the slime of his choice on his own while my younger sons (5 & 7) took turns mixing together the slime solutions and shaking it up while I read them the directions and helped with measurements.  They loved watching the Green Goo turn into slime, they were amazed that it only took a minute of shaking to make magic slime.

Not only did the instructions tell us how to make slime it offered wonderful information on the science of slime. I can honestly say it was the first time that I have had a conversation with my kids about molecules. After each slime recipe there are explanations of how the ingredients work together to create the slime.  A great way to get in a science lesson while playing.   We had a great time playing with and making our slime and the boys continue to enjoy playing with their slime.  This was a definite winner in our house!
