Summer Reading Clubs in Lakewood & Littleton

Fizz, Boom, Spark and even Light Up Your Brain with knowledge!  The libraries in our area have clubs and programs perfect for every reader in your family.  Make reading fun this summer with loads of fun activities, projects and even fun prizes along the way!  Check the links below to find a program close to you.

Jefferson County Libraries

June 1 - July 31

Children:  "Fizz, Boom, READ!".  In this year’s program, they will have the chance to explore space, delight in magic, make a wish, create chemical reactions and have a blast at pol-KABOOM. Teens:  "Spark a Reaction".  In this year's program, teens have the opportunity to sample insect cuisine, create optical illusions, discover the wonders of the human skeleton, explore the gross side of science and take an inside look at 3D printing. Adults:  "Light Up Your Brain With Lifelong Learning".  They too get to participate by completing activities based on the healthy brain initiative. See jeffcolibrary.org/summerreading for additional information.

Littleton Public Library
June 27 - July 31

Children: "Fizz, Boom Read!".  Infants through children entering 5th grade will have fun with Fizz, Boom, Read, the children’s summer reading program. Stop by the Children’s Room to register and begin reading to earn prizes. Visit library for more details and to register. 

Teens:  "Spark a Reaction".  Don’t miss Spark a Reaction, the teen summer reading program. Join us for creative programs and events throughout the summer. Register in the Teen Deck or online at bemis.ent.sirsi.net. Stop by and check it out.  Everyone who completes the program receives a free book.  Numerous prizes will be awarded to participants with drawings every two weeks.  Join for a variety of creative programs and events.  Reservations required.  Visit library to register and for additional details.

Adults:  "Literary Elements"  Explore Literary Elements this summer with our adult summer reading program. Register at the Information Desk and receive a gift just for signing up. Enter the prize
drawings by filling out a drawing slip for every book you read or listen to. A Grand Prize drawing for a $100 shopping spree at Aspen Grove will be held at the end of the program. There will also be weekly drawings for gift certificates to Littleton merchants as well as passes to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.

"Fizz, Boom, Read," this year's science theme for Summer Reading, will ignite a love of reading in babies, toddlers and children, and "Spark a Reaction," will do the same for teens.
