Did You Know You Can Have The Librarian ALL TO YOURSLF?

Book A Librarian service now at Jefferson County Public Libraries

By Jefferson County Public Library September 18, 2014
Jefferson County Public Library (JCPL) is now offering personalized research assistance with its new Book a Librarian service. Expert librarians are available for 30 minute appointments to help patrons find information on a variety of topics.

“The Library aims to provide customizable experiences for our patrons,” said Peg Hooper, adult services manager. “We realize tackling a research project – whatever it might be – can seem like an overwhelming task. We can help narrow the search to find resources that will be of the most benefit and teach them how to access the wealth of free, online resources available through the Library.”

Making an appointment is easy. Visit jeffcolibrary.org/bookalibrarian, tell us what you need help with and a library staff member will contact you to confirm the details of the appointment. You can also call 303-235-5275 or visit a library information desk to make an appointment.

“Our goal is to meet our patrons at their point of need,” said Lynn Gunderson, adult services coordinator. “Whether someone needs help with business research, job assistance, genealogy, technology, almost anything, we can find the information they need. This isn’t a replacement for the services provided at the Library’s information desks, but is an enhancement to the in depth assistance on which our patrons rely.

Book a Librarian is currently available seven days a week during library operating hours.
