Her drawing, "The Playful Bernard", will be made into the decal for Aspen Grove's 2015 "My Friendly Dog" program.
What's that, you might ask? Aspen Grove is a dog friendly shopping center, and each store that allows your four-legged, furry family members to shop right along with you will proudly display this sticker in their front window to let you know it's "ok" to bring that pooch inside. About 45 of the retailers at the open air shopping center currently participate in the program, so go ahead and bring your well-behaved, leashed pup's out for a day of shopping!
As the winning artist, Abigail not only has earned the bragging rights of her having her puppy picture proudly displayed on all these store windows, but she also won a $250 gift certificate of her choice to any of the Aspen Grove retailers or restaurants. Looks as if she will be doing some shopping at The Gap and Brilliant Sky Toys and Books! Her name will also be heard on the overhead announcements for an entire year!
