By Jamie Twarogowski, Macaroni Kid Lakewood/Littleton Publisher December 18, 2014
I just counted 17 days that the kids will be out of school.  That is a whole lot of time to have a whole lot of fun!  We have compiled a list of fun things that will keep everyone active this Winter Break.  We will post it here until everyone is back at the books.

1 - Holiday Happenings' has a list of all the fun Holiday events happening this week!  A great place to check first to plan your week.

2 - Last minute gift ideas and a fun craft for the older kids, but fun for the younger ones too, with supervision.  These Peppermint Ornaments are not only cute but wuper fun to make!  (Just make sure you watch them closely, or you will end up with a bubbly mess like ours did.  They don't take long!)

3 - Use the leftover pepermint candy for the pepermint in this scrumptious recipe, Peppermint Popcorn Crunch!  Oh my!  These are so good, you might want to make a double batch if you are planning on making these for a gift, you will surely want some for yourself.

4 - Did you make a Gingerbread house this year?  How about a Life-Sized Gingerbread House...for the littles, that is.  Such a cute and creative idea.

5 - How about a Family Game Night Party!  We love game night around here.  But why not invite a friend or two over for a friendly game of Moustache Smash?

6 - Take a short trip up the mountain and visit Keystone!  Keystone's Kidtopia will surely have something for everyone!

7 - Holiday's are a time for family memories.  This year when you get together with family, make a point to collect and document those moments, Preserve Family Memories for years to come!

Check back next week!  We will add more to ensure your Winter Break is filled with loads of fun!
