Keystone's Kidtopia...A Cornucopia of Family FUN!

World's Largest Snow Fort, Tubing, Kids' Apres Gatherings with Crafts and More

Last weekend our family spent the weekend at Keystone Resort, and what a fun experince for us all!  We didn't ski or snowboard, but there was still plenty of activities to keep us occupied all weekend long.

Keystone's Kidtopia is filled with events for everyone; skiiers and boarders from novice to expert, or people like us who choose to stay on our own two feet.

Our fun began with the grand opening of the World's Largest Snow Fort full of mazes, tunnels, slides and windows to climb through.  What a blast we had watching all the kids play, slide and venture through the mazes.  This fort really took care of the "exhaust" in the "Entertain, Educate and Exhaust Your Kids" part of our motto!

From there we got to experience Adventure Point Tubing, tubing at it's finest.  We had to leave the 3 year-old behind with the hubby, as the hills are large and FAST (height requirements of 42" or more are completely understandable).  But I had a blast with my twin and the neice and nephew.  We got to go down the hill in groups of up to four down the many lanes that went from fast to (insert screams here) FAST!  Sessions last an hour, plenty of time to get up and down the hill numerous times.

Next, off to Kidtopia headquarters where Ready Paint Fire is conveniently located.  Here you can choose to paint a canvas masterpeice or a piece of pottery.  (Maia chose her favorites of the moment, we currently have a pink pony masterpeice to hang in her room, and we are anxious to see her puppy bank creation).  You can paint today and in most cases your pottery will be fired and ready to pick up by 5pm the next day, or can be shipped at your convenience.  (Pottery and canvas peices will vary and studio fees will apply, but pay once and they are applicable throughout your entire stay, nice!)

A final treat to our stay that should not be missed, Sunday Family Brunch at Bighorn Bistro.  Kids are encouraged to dine in their pajamas, in their very own dining room and their very special buffet filled with goodies just for them.  They even have crafts and movies to keep them occupied.  Riperoo, Frosty the Snowman and Santa all made an appearance!  While the kids were entertained and occupied by a very capable staff member, the parents enjoyed a full buffet of yummy treats (they have bottomless mimosas and a bloody mary bar too!)  A perfect way to finish of a really fun weekend!

There was way too much to do and too little time to do it all, so we look forward to coming back to participate in all that Kidtopia has to offer. You can find more info online about Kidtopia events like Snow Zone, Kidtopia Scavenger Hunt, Riperoo's Ice Cream Social, Riperoo's Village Parade, Kidtopia fireworks, giant snowball launch, Bigfoot adventures, meetings with the Avy Dogs, Kidtopia Wild Wednesdays, Starquest, cookie hour at Dercum Square Ice Rink. Many of Kidtopia's events are free and can be found on the calendar ~ Kidtopia Weekly Schdeule.

We received lift tickets, Adventure Point Tubing tickets, Sunday Family Pajama Brunch, Ice Skating at Dercum Square, Painting at Ready Paint Fire and Media Rates for lodging in exchange for this article.  All thoughts and comments are my own.
