NEW YEAR'S EVE: GOING OUT TO CELEBRATE

Hit the town to ring in the New Year! There are great celebrations for kids and adults throughout the Denver area!

New Year's Eve Fireworks in Downtown Denver: The sky will sparkle over the 16th Street Malwith fireworks shows at 9:00 PM and midnight. Costumed performers like magicians, mascots, balloon artists, stilt walkers, comedians, and musicians will be entertaining the crowds in between shows.

Noon Year's Eve at The Butterfly Pavilion: The Children's Museum of Denver is under construction so they are taking their famous ball drops, bubble wrap, and confetti-filled fun to the Butterfly Pavilion in Westminster. The event is 9:00 AM-5:00 PM, with ball drop every half hour from 9:30 AM-4:30 PM. Children's Museum members are free; non-member tickets are $9.50 for adults and $6.50 for children.

Ring in the New Year with Laughter: Both Comedy Works locations want you to laugh your way into 2015! Downtown at Larimer Square is featuring Ryan Hamilton and South at The Landmark is featuring Ketih Alberstadt. Each offers an all-ages family show at 6:00 PM, with adults-only shows at 8:00 PM an 10:00 PM.

Skate the Lake: Head to the Evergreen Lake House for ice skating (limited skate rentals available; bringing your own skates and helmet are encouraged), fireworks, fire barrel bonfiles, sleigh rides, food, music, and ice games in a non-alcoholic environment. The event opens at 6:00 PM with fireworks at 9:00 PM and midnight. Tickets are $20; ages 8 and under are free.

Zoo Year's Eve at the Denver Zoo:
Enjoy a perfect New Year’s Eve celebration for the entire family. With a special New Year’s Eve countdown at 9:00 PM, your little ones will be able to enjoy the holiday but still get home for bed. Activities are included with Zoo Lights admission, which is $11 for adults and $7 for children.

Decadence NYE: Global Dance, AEG Live, and Live Nation present America's largest New Year's Dance Celebration with two rooms of music, over-the-top entertainers, and diamond-clad décor. Nearby hotels have special rates so you can maximize your fun and minimize your stress. The event takes place December 30 and 31. Tickets start at $95.

New Year's Eve "Rat Pack" Gala: Enjoy dancing to two live bands, late night hors d'oeuvres, and a champagne toast at the Hotel Boulderado. Tickets are $70, with an option to upgrade to include a sumptous dinner buffet. Overnight packages start at $289 and include a hotel room, two GA tickets to the Ball, valet parking, and an option to upgrade to include dinner.

A Night in Vienna: Celebrate in style at Boettcher Concert Hall with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra and still make it in time to see the 16th Street fireworks. The concert begins at 6:30 PM. Tickets are $32-$94.

Resolution NYE: Colorado's largest adults-only New Year's Eve Party, includes an Open Bar and full access to three levels of entertainment at the McNichols Event Center in Downtown Denver. Tickets are $89-$99.

Soul to S.O.U.L. NYE 2014: Break in the History Colorado Center with good music and drinks in hand for its first ever NYE party. Enjoy an open bar, access to museum exhibits, a silent auction, live band, and light snacks. Tickets are $105 ($175 for VIP) with a price increase after December 25. All proceeds benefit the SOUL Foundation, a non-profit working to break the cycle of poverty in Uganda.
