The Best (and Easiest!) Macaroni and Cheese Ever

Seriously the best recipe for Mac and Cheese. Like ever.

The winter months are perfect for comfort foods. And there is nothing more comforting than a big pot of macaroni and cheese. Making it in the slow cooker is as easy as dumping a few ingredients in, turning it on and walking away.

A few months ago I discovered a recipe for Crockpot Macaroni & Cheese and, after a few attempts, perfected it. At least perfected it so every member of my family will eat it without complaining. That's a big accomplishment, right?


What you need

  • 16 oz. box of elbow macaroni
  • 4 tbsp. butter
  • About 3 cups of shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 3/4 cup of sour cream
  • 1 can condensed cheddar cheese soup
  • 1 cup milk (I use 1%)
  • A little salt and pepper (honestly I've never measured it!)

What you do

  • Boil the macaroni until tender. 
  • Drain and mix with all the ingredients in the slow cooker. I really just dump it all together! 
  • Stir it up and viola! 
  • Set your slow cooker to low for about 3 hours 
  • Stir occasionally
  • Serve and impress!

When you’re done, you and your family will enjoy a home-cooked, comfort dinner that took only 15 minutes to create!
