Very soon spring and summer sports will be in full swing. As busy moms, we are on the hunt for healthy alternatives to keep our kids hydrated this sports season. Here's a way to replace store-bought sports drinks with a homemade version.

- 2 cups crushed ice
- 2 cups coconut water
- 1/2 cup all natural juice (I used black cherry)
- 1/2 lemon, juiced
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
- Sweetener to taste (honey, stevia or agave all work great)
This drink can be served "as is" or mixed with a 1/4 c water, depending on your child's preference. Try experimenting with other flavors of fruit juices for a sure to please, made to replenish beverage!
