The 2015 National Parks Free Entrance Days are:
- January 19: Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- February 14-16: Presidents Day weekend
- April 18-19: Opening weekend of National Park Week
- August 25: National Park Service Birthday
- September 26: National Public Lands Day
- November 11: Veterans Day
Normally, 133 national parks charge an entrance fee that ranges from $3 to $25. Colorado has 13 National Parks, eight of which normally charge an entrance fee. The waiver does not cover amenity or user fees for things like camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours.
Several other federal land management agencies offer fee-free days as well.
- U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service - Of the 464 public national wildlife refuges, only 35 normally charge a fee. They will be free on January 19, February 14-26, September 26, October 11, and November 11
- Bureau of Land Management - The BLM will waive fees for visitors to the National System of Public Lands on January 19, February 14-16, September 26, and November 11.
- U.S. Forest Service - Fees are waived at most of its day-use recreation sites on January 19, February 16, June 13, September 26, and November 11.
