Spruce-Up Your Bike For Back To School

Macaroni Kid Made Bike Streamers

By Jamie Twarogowski, Macaroni Kid Lakewood/Littleton Publisher July 30, 2015
Making these accessories for your bike is super simple, quick and so inexpensive. You can make one to match every outfit in your wardrobe!

What you need:
Terry cloth/fabric hair ties
Plastic table cloths cut up into strips (you can pick these up at the dollar store!)
Water bottle
Scissors

Use the water bottle to hold the hair tie in place so you don't have to wrestle as tying the strips.

Tie the strips onto the hair tie in any color pattern you wish.

Tie the strips completely around the hair tie. We used about 15 strips and this seemed to be plenty.

Place the hair tie on the ridge of the bike handle.

Trim as necessary. You don't want any strips hanging down into the spokes to get tangled up and cause an accident!

Done! Now they can ride off into the sunset!

Fun for bikers of all ages!
