The Great Pumpkin Haul is a two-mile jaunt through forests and open fields, over creeks and hay bales, and through the scenic Botanic Gardens at Chatfield. There is a catch though: You will be covering these two miles carrying your very own personal pumpkin!
That’s right. Before the "Haul" you will have a chance to pick out your very own pumpkin from Chatfield’s pumpkin patch (pumpkin included with entry). We will weigh it and mark it and you will be ready to go! This is not a true obstacle race though — the toughest obstacle is carrying your pumpkin for two miles. Expect fun obstacles like hay bales to climb over, crawl unders, spiderwebs, and more!
Awards will be given to best individual and group costume: Tough Pumpkin (heaviest pumpkin), Pumpkin Hauler Baller (for those brave enough to take on two pumpkins solo), and Largest Team Awards. Join our Pumpkin Bootcamp before the race and stay after to enjoy food trucks and other events at the Botanic Gardens, including hay rides and corn maze.
Your registration includes a Great Pumpkin Haul custom finisher’s medal (new for 2017!), t-shirt, pumpkin, free photos, and fun for the whole family! Children 5 and under are welcome to participate for free, or pay a discounted price to receive all the goods!
This is the perfect event for friends and family of all ages. Teams of four or more who register together will receive $5 off their registration so bring out your "haul squad." You can also create a "Share the Load" team — two people, one pumpkin — save $5 each!

RULES: This contest will run from Wednesday, September 20, 2017 through Tuesday, September 26, 2017. One winner will be selected from all eligible entries using random.org on Wednesday, September 27, 2017. Winner will be notified by email and phone and will have 48 hours to claim the prize. If the prize is not claimed within 48 hours, an alternate winner will be chosen. You MUST be a subscriber to Macaroni Kid Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree or Macaroni Kid Lakewood-Littleton and 18 or older to enter.
