And Have Plenty of Leftovers!

Feeding your family during the holidays can get pretty expensive, but we all want to celebrate with loved ones. I recently did some research on feeding a family of 10 on a budget, and I was surprised to find that I could do it for less than $35 at Walmart!

  • Butterball Frozen Turkey - $0.98 per lb. (16 lbs = $15.68)
  • Great Value Turkey Gravy - $0.86 (x2 = $1.72)
  • Great Value Cornbread Stuffing - $0.75 (x 3 = $2.25)
  • Sweet Potatoes - $2.94 (x 1 - 3 lb bag = $2.94)
  • Marketside Hawaiian Style Rolls - $2.74 (x1 = $2.74)
  • Great Value Green Beans – $0.50 (x 4 = $2.00)
  • Fresh Cranberries - $1.98 for 12 oz (x1 = $1.98)
  • Patti LaBelle Sweet Potato Pie - $2.97 (x1 = $2.97)
  • Whipped Cream - $1.24 (x1 = $1.24)

  • TOTAL = $33.52

You can even squeeze in an extra packet of gravy!

I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical that I could feed a large group for around $50...and absolutely thrilled that I could do it for under $35! It just goes to show you that, with a little research, and the help of a local grocery store (like Walmart!), you can stick to a budget...and your guests will never know!
