While bringing a child into the world can be the most joyous of milestones, for some parents the experience is downright terrifying. Littleton Adventist Hospital helps reduce those new-parent fears by preparing families with the knowledge and tools to successfully navigate the world of parenthood.

🏥 Birthplace Tour

Get an overview of the hospital, the BirthPlace, and the patient-centered care our facility offers. Please register only once per family.

Cost: FREE.


🤰 Childbirth Preparation - 4 Week Series

This is a comprehensive 12-hour course is offered during the evening for four weeks. These classes focus on five aspects of the birthing process: phases of labor and delivery, comfort strategies, medical procedures, breathing and relaxation conditioning, and the postpartum period. Each series includes a variety of childbirth videos and written materials. Includes a tour of the BirthPlace.

Cost: $80 for 2 participants.


🤰 Childbirth Preparation - Fast Track

FastTrack offers all the information in the 4-week series in condensed 2-day, four-hour sessions. Learn the tools and techniques of prepared childbirth and information necessary to make an informed decision regarding the birth of your baby. Includes a tour of the BirthPlace.

Cost: $80 for 2 participants.


🤰 Childbirth Preparation - Express

This is a condensed, 7-hour class which is great for those unable to take the 4-week series. Learn the tools and techniques of prepared childbirth and information necessary to make an informed decision regarding the birth of your baby. Includes a tour of the BirthPlace.

Cost: $80 for 2 participants.


🤰 Comfort Measures

We recommend this class as an add-on AFTER completing one of our other Childbirth Preparation classes. This class is focused on comfort measures and strategies for those looking for more practice with labor skills and those planning an un-medicated delivery. As you rotate through “labor stations”, you will have the opportunity to practice labor coping skills that can be used to manage labor more comfortably. This class is primarily practice-oriented and will give you a variety of tools to use in your labor including relaxation, positioning, and breathing so you can gain additional confidence and skills for your upcoming birth.

Cost: $40 for 2 participants.


🤱 Breastfeeding

Education and support are key elements in forming a successful breastfeeding experience. We encourage moms AND their birth partners to attend this one time class to learn more about breastfeeding tips, tools & techniques to prepare you to breastfeed with more confidence and success.

Cost: $40 for 2 participants.


👶 Infant Care

This class is highly recommended for first-time parents. We will familiarize you with the basics of newborn appearance, behavior, hospital procedures and daily care. You will get hands-on experience learning techniques to care for your baby such as diapering, bathing, swaddling, burping and more to help increase your confidence and learn to relax and enjoy your baby. Please note that breastfeeding and feeding techniques will not be covered in this class.

Cost: $40 for 2 participants.


👶 Baby Safe

Safety is the priority when caring for infants. This comprehensive class covers infant CPR and choking relief techniques, safe sleep and SIDS prevention, illness and accident prevention, childproofing, as well as basic car seat safety education. Note: CPR and choking relief techniques are taught and practiced, however, no certification will be provided.

Cost: $55/couple or individual.


👨 Bootcamp for New Dads

This is a workshop led by dads, for dads only. In this class you will be oriented to the unique aspects of fatherhood by the experts…NEW DADS and their babies! Topics include; troubleshooting crying babies, caring for new moms, bonding, working/family balance, what to expect postpartum and the role of the protector.

Cost: $40 per dad.


👵 21st Century Grandparents

Baby care in the 21st Century has changed since you raised your children. This class gives you the opportunity to learn how and why things have changed so you can help keep your grandchild safe, healthy and happy. You will learn infant CPR and choking relief techniques, safe sleep and SIDS prevention, illness and accident prevention as well as identifying and understanding your new role and supporting your child’s parenting decisions. Registration is for up to 2 participants.

Cost: $50 for 2 participants.
