Summer Camp At Home | Home Ec Skills!

Useful adventures your family can do at home

Keeping pre-teens and teens busy during summer break can be daunting. Luckily, I have a pretty amazing friend who has three amazing boys at her house, and they joined forces to create some pretty cool themed weekly summer camps for teens and preteens. We are thrilled to share four weeks of new themes to keep your older kids occupied this summer.

A Note from Sarah

My boyfriend and I are working full time from home this summer, and were looking for ideas to keep our boys busy while we are working and on the phone. We needed a way to keep three pre-teen/teen boys busy and off their devices! Our list of activities needed to be largely self-directed, and things the boys would think were fun and would hold their attention. Plus, we wanted them to continue to bond as we develop a new blended family.

I think a schedule like this could work for any family. There are tons of ideas online, and it just takes a little bit of pre-planning. I happen to have an Amazon shopping problem so ordering materials for activities hasn’t been an issue.
