Hey Mac Families!
Well, dang it. I thought we had made it to middle school without the end of summer jitters that accompany the transition to a new school. I was confident that my youngest was excited, not scared. Welp. I was wrong.
He is terrified.
We've been talking a lot lately about what middle school will be like. My youngest has two older siblings so he definitely has some insight from them and has been asking questions about areas of uncertainty. We had a chat sesh at a restaurant the other day and I thought that had eased his fears. Nope.
So what does an experienced mom of three, who just happens to be the publisher of three family websites, do in this situation? Ummmmm... she starts digging around on those sites for some awesome advice! We have tons of great back to school information for kids of all ages, and their parents and caregivers. Some of it I have written myself, and some come from the brilliant minds of Mac KID publishers across the country. And, of course, I found just what I needed.
And that got me thinking. School is right around the corner, and I would be willing to bet that my kid is not the only one freaking out. Maybe your kids are sad about the end of summer, nervous about meeting new teachers and classmates, or stressed about their first day outfit. Or maybe, they are psyched and want to celebrate heading back into the classroom.
I pulled a few of my favorite back to school articles to share this week. I hope that they help you as much as they helped me.
