A Note From Your Publisher: The one about the dark side 📝

By Christen Reiner, Macaroni Kid Lakewood-Littleton & Macaroni Kid Denver Editor and Publisher November 13, 2021

Hey Mac Families!

I am typically inherently opposed to busting out the Christmas Cheer until AFTER Thanksgiving.

Set up the tree? Nope.

Decorate the house. No thanks.

Listen to Christmas music on KOSI101? Uhhhh, no.

But get this. I got into the car the other morning to take my youngest to school, and the aforementioned KOSI101 had made the switch to 24/7 Christmas tunes. At first, I was horrified. I even took a video of the ridiculousness to text to my family. I quickly switched the channel as I made exaggerated faces of disgust at my 11 year old. I was all in.

Then, something strange happened.

I ran some errands later that morning and happened upon those dreaded Christmas songs once again as I scanned the radio stations to escape commercials.

AND I STARTED SINGING ALONG.

What???????

What's even worse? I ENJOYED it.

What is happening to me????

Welp, I don't know. But I do know that I grabbed a box of Christmas decorations while I was in the attic today. I haven't done anything with it but it is definitely calling to me. I'm pretty sure that my kids would be thrilled. I'm 100% sure that my hubs would NOT be on board.

I'm afraid that I have crossed over to the dark side. So, how early is too early to BUST CHRISTMAS WIDE OPEN?

Peace ☮️, Love ❤️, & Macaroni 🌼,
