A Note From Your Publisher: The one about uhhhh...what the heck now?

By Christen Reiner, Macaroni KID Lakewood-Littleton & Macaroni KID Denver Editor and Publisher November 27, 2021

Hey Mac Families,

There's a dilemma that most parents go through, no matter which winter holiday they celebrate with their family. It happens when their kids get a little older, and their house gets a little fuller, and the donation pile gets a little higher with unused items.

It's when you finally decide that you are not going to buy ANYMORE gifts for your kids that will likely end up in the donation bin within two months.

For me, this transition began a few years ago. I started by asking grandparents to pitch in for more expensive or bigger gifts, or to get my kids experiences versus material items. I was able to get creative with gifts... wrapping something small that paired nicely with an experience that I knew they would enjoy. I had a long list of fun ideas to choose from.

Friends, I have come to the end of my gift giving creativity.

What the heck do I get my kids now?

Help.

Peace ☮️, Love ❤️, & Macaroni 🌼,
