Hey Mac Families,
I live within walking distance of my local post office. My least favorite errand of all time? The post office.
It's not only the going into the post office part that ruins it for me, it is the packing up of packages or preparing envelopes. I don't know why. It's not that difficult. But nine times out of ten, I do not mail out packages in a timely fashion despite having said items at my house long before they must depart.
(Thank goodness for direct shipping. Sheesh.)
My trip to the post office today got me thinking about what other errands I hate, and ones that I love. See if you agree with my top threes.
ERRANDS I HATE
- Trips to the mall - The thought of having to park and fight the crowds to get to my destination is enough to make me avoid the mall altogether.
- Grocery shopping - Not the shopping part... the unloading and putting away part. Am I wrong?
- Going inside the Bank - If there is a drive thru, you better believe this girl is going to use it. Bank lobbies are for chumps. :)
ERRANDS I LOVE
- CVS or Walgreens - Drive up, pop in, drive away. Done.
- Outdoor shopping centers - Again, it's the speed and proximity factor for me. In and out.
- Anytime I can stop and get a treat whilst running errands - A fountain coke or a sweet treat can make any errand trip better.
If today was any indication, EVERYONE and their cousins will be running errands this weekend. Hope yours are the ones you love.
