Hey Mac Families,
My daughter became a "mom" today.
A little back story...
My daughter has been wanting to take Child and Adolescent Development since she was an 8th grader for one reason and one reason only.
The electronic baby.
She never had room in her schedule to squeeze the much anticipated class in... until now.
And for this whole weekend, she gets to care for her adorable e-baby boy, Dawson. My daughter became a mom at 7pm on Friday night.
At 7:20 pm, Dawson was hungry. And that baby ate noisily for over 20 minutes. He was quiet and content for approximately six minutes, and then all hell broke loose.
All. Hell. Broke. Loose,
It is currently 10pm. Dawson has eaten five times, been burped seven times, had two diaper changes, and has been rocked endlessly in the last three hours. And despite all of this, I can still hear him wailing from my daughter's room.
I hate to say it, but I'm chuckling just a teeeeny bit, listening to my daughter plead with Dawson to tell her what the heck he needs. Been there.
Of course, I am happy to help with tips, short term babysitting, even a reprieve so that she can pee in peace. But she has a little tag around her neck that links up to Baby Dawson, and she has to do the majority of the care giving, or she will fail the assignment.
The Powder Puff game is tomorrow and my daughter figured that she could keep him in his carrier on the sideline while she plays. I wonder if she will be thinking better of that plan after tonight. Should be an interesting morning.
I don't know exactly how this weekend will go for my daughter with Baby Dawson, but I can tell you one thing I am sure of after three hours with him in the house... I am NOT ready to be a grandma! HA! :)
Peace ☮️, Love ❤️, & Macaroni 🌼,
