Luckily, we are a pretty adventurous bunch when it comes to food, so my husband and I have always enjoyed taking the kiddos to try out new restaurants around Denver. When we had the opportunity to check out Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood, we did not hesitate.
Had any of us tried an oyster before? Nope! Despite our penchant for seafood, we were all new to the oyster world. Were we willing to give it go? Heck yeah!

I know what you are thinking... who wants to eat seafood in landlocked Colorado? I'll admit, I had my doubts, being from the East Coast and growing up on lobster that my grandpa trapped in Maine. Let's put it this way -- I didn't need to worry. Their seafood is fresh from the Blue Island Shellfish Farm in Long Island, New York, and that was absolutely obvious because it is the best seafood I've ever had in Colorado. If you like seafood, run to Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood. You will not regret it!

Date Night, Ladies Night, or Family Night... Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood is the perfect destination!
My youngest was excited to try an oyster and the Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood version of mac and cheese. My oldest was already planning a second visit with his girlfriend, calling it the perfect date night locale. My daughter was sending photos of the restaurant and the food to her friends so that they could plan a fun night with the girls. No matter what the reason, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood is the go to!
The staff was knowledgeable and friendly.
Listen, we had questions for our server. A lot of questions. From helping us choose an oyster to try from their extensive menu to identifying gluten free options for my daughter to pinpointing the perfect meal for each of our different tastes, the staff at Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood was on it. Not only were they knowledgeable about the menu options, they were willing to share their personal experiences along with great conversation and a smile. We were all thrilled with our choices and the service. It was not only helpful, it was refreshing!
The atmosphere brought me back to the ocean.

If you know me at all, you know that I'm a sucker for desserts. Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood did not disappoint. There were so many decadent choices on the menu that it was difficult to narrow it down. Honestly, even if you are not into seafood, the desserts alone at Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood are worth a visit.
Whether you are celebrating something special, or just hanging with friends or family, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood is the place to be.
