Undecking the halls is not the most fun part of the holidays, but the cities of Lakewood and Littleton hope to make it slightly easier. Both cities are offering free Christmas tree recycling to their respective residents. It's a good thing they do, too, because many waste management companies do not pick up trees. Plus, not only are you doing your part to better our planet, you are contributing to the free mulch programs offered by Lakewood and Littleton. That sounds like a win-win to me!
Accepted for Drop-off:
- Remove all decorations, lights, nails, wire, tinsel, and the tree stand from your tree.
- Only natural, real trees will be accepted.
- No artificial or flocked trees.
- No leaves, branches or other refuse.
