Do you have a teen who is interested in the Denver music scene? Do they love checking out new music and attending concerts?

Then do we have exciting news for you!

My kids have grown up going to concerts because mom and dad love live music. There's just something amazing about seeing your favorite artist perform in person, being the first to hear a new artist on the scene, or spending an evening with friends, dancing the night away together to some live music. So, I'm always pretty excited to have the chance to share a new artist with you all!

I had a chance to chat with local Denver artist, eddie., who is excited about his debut performance at The Roxy Theatre in Denver on February 17.

When did you become interested in creating music?

Ever since I was a kid, I have loved listening to music. I pay attention to how music makes me feel. My friend Max showed me how to do everything in terms of recording and I have been making songs ever since.

What is the best part of creating your own music?

The process of mixing the song and getting to see it played around the world.

What is the biggest challenge?

My biggest challenge so far is trying to be heard. A lot of people don't realize how hard it is to go anywhere with their music simply because of how difficult it is to get your music out there.

What is one word you'd use to describe yourself?

Passionate!

What are you most excited about performing live?

Getting to perform with my friend Max, who I've known since preschool. I think it is crazy how music has brought us back together after such a long time.

What makes you nervous about performing live?

Nothing really I'm just excited to get to be performing in general. It's a dream I never thought would happen, and I feel so lucky I get the opportunity to do this.

What is your goal as an artist?

To perform at Red Rocks one day -- gotta shoot for the stars!

What are your hobbies or interests outside of music?

I am currently doing EMT school to hopefully become a firefighter, but other than that I enjoy hanging out with my friends and driving cool cars!

Who is your favorite national or international artist?

Cigarettes After Sex, The Backseat Lovers, and A$AP Rocky

What was the best concert you have been to in Denver, and why?

Definitely Global Dance at Mile High -- that was such an experience to be there and I thought it was really cool that I got the chance to see a ton of artists in one place and one day.
