Looking for an easy way to impress your family for spring break?

Hit the road less traveled and explore the most beautiful parts of our state on the easiest road trip ever!

Byway (noun) - a little traveled side road.

Unlike highways and major thoroughfares, byways are roads, trails, or tracks that do not adhere to a main path or route.

The National Scenic Byways program was established in 1988 by the US Forest Service, and Colorado's San Juan Skyway was one of the first routes to be designated. Now, Colorado has its very own Scenic and Historic Byways website, and you can find all 26 of them there along with maps, history, stop recommendations, and trip tips for each.

Choose the route that looks the most interesting to you, and you'll have an instant trip planned for your spring break. All you have to do is fill up your gas tank and go!
