A Note From Your Publisher: The one about how you can do it 📝

By Christen Reiner, Macaroni KID Lakewood-Littleton & Macaroni KID Denver Editor and Publisher April 13, 2024

Hey Mac Families,

You have reached the time of the school year when you might be feeling a bit overwhelmed.

  • Maybe you have a kindergartner who is preparing for their graduation, and you aren't sure what to wear (and do you get them a gift?).
  • Perhaps your 5th grader is stressed about the end of the year and whether or not their friends are going to the same middle school as them.
  • It's possible that your middle schooler is acting a fool and causing you heartburn and headaches.
  • It could be that your HS senior is DONE, and failing English (ya know, the one class required to graduate) because of that good ol' senior project.
  • Or maybe, your 22 year old is about to graduate from college and you are not sure how to celebrate that because it's college and also because HOW DO YOU HAVE A COLLEGE GRADUATE AS A KID?

Well, I'm here to tell you that YOU CAN DO IT.

I have experienced all of these things in my life, and I can vouch that they are all very stressful as a parent. I can also promise you that you will make it through and you will be really proud of yourself wen you do.

Those last 45ish days of the school year are HARD, y'all. They are chaotic, sad, happy, super fast, reaaalllly sloooow, and way too busy. And a lot of that chaos is going to find its way into your brain, and it's going to live there for a bit.

Embrace it. Embrace that chaos.

Talk about the chaos with your family and come up with ways to embrace it....together. Because guess what. It's not going anywhere.

But guess what else. YOU ARE STRONGER THAN THE CHAOS.

And you, my friend, can do this.

Peace ☮️, Love ❤️, & Macaroni 🌼,

Christen
