6 Colorado Olympic Athletes to Watch For in Paris This Summer

Colorado is sending 26 athletes to the Olympic Games in Paris this year, competing in 14 sports. That means that Colorado ranks sixth among the states sending Olympians to the games. Although they are all amazing, here are six of our faves to keep an eye on!


Riley Amos
Cycling

Riley has been biking since second grade, when he joined a mountain biking club in his hometown of Durango. 

Fun Fact - Riley will be joined on Team USA by his longtime friend, training partner, and fellow Durango mountain biker, Christopher Blevins.


Wyndham Clark
Golf

Wyndham started golfing in his hometown of Denver at the age of three when his mom took him to the driving range. By the time he was finished hitting his bucket of balls, he was hooked.

Fun Fact - Wyndham won the Colorado State Golf Championship twice while in High school.


Valerie Constien
Track and Field

Valerie grew up in Edward, Colorado, where she was a four sport athlete... soccer, track, cross country, and nordic skiing.

Fun Fact - Valerie plays the piano and french horn, and was in the band and pep band during high school.


Lindsey Horan
Soccer

Lindsey opted out of playing soccer at Golden High School in favor of training with the Colorado Rush and later with the Nike Boys team.

Fun Fact - Lindsey was the first American female soccer player to be signed to a professional team straight out of high school when she joined the Paris Saint-German soccer team.


Rylan Kissell
Shooting

Rylan began shooting competitively at age 12 after getting his start with a bb gun and cans in his backyard.

Fun Fact - Ryan left his hometown of Littleton to join the air rifle team at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he shot a perfect 600 in a competition during his freshman year.


Emma Weber
Swimming

Emma grew up in Boulder where she secured the Colorado State Championship in the 100m breaststroke and the 200m IM.

Fun Fact - Emma is enrolled in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Virginia, where she credits her fellow breaststrokers for keeping her calm during competitions.
