You've built the snowman. Now what?
We've got you covered with a list of easy and fun things to keep you busy outside when it's snowy.
- Make snow angels.
- Bust out the sleds and have races.
- Go on a snowy scavenger hunt.
- Freeze colored ice cubes and scatter them around the yard (while no one else is looking, of course!) and send everyone off to retrieve them.
- Trim your trees with strings of berries and popcorn.
- Practice your golf swing with plastic cups buried into the snow.
- Play Tug-O-War with a big pile of fluffy snow to fall into.
- Tie dye the snow with spray bottles full of watered down food coloring.
- Build an igloo.
- Build snow furniture.
- Do some snow science and find out what things melt snow the fastest (sand, dirt, snow melt).
- Create ice bubbles by waving the bubble wand around instead of blowing through it.
- Play hide and seek.
- Follow the tracks -- human and animals.
- Practice hitting a target with snowballs.
- Play a round or two of snow bowling.
- Build a road and play with toy trucks.
- Turn your snowballs into Mr. and Mrs. Potato Heads using the body pieces.
- Bury glow sticks in the snow (stay shallow!) and check them out once it gets dark.
- Create an obstacle course.
- Challenge your friends to a game of Tic Tac Snow!
- Play snow soccer.
- Shovel your neighbor's sidewalk and/or driveway.
- Play a few innings of snowball (baseball).
- Catch snowflakes on your tongue.
- Build a mini snow village.
- Challenge your family to a snow sculpture contest.
- Take a snow hike. Bonus if you have snowshoes!
- Bring a bowl of the snow inside and play in the bathtub.
- Create snowpets for those snowmen you built.
