Hey Mac Families,
Are you still feeling a bit discombobulated this month trying to recover from the holidays and back to school?
Are you dreading the impending cold snap and day off from school on Monday? I sure am. I can't even figure out what day it is, and I am already overly tired from cold tension.

The first weeks back from winter break are always slightly chaotic for parents. And by parents, I mean me.
The kids go back to school on a random day, you fight for earlier bedtimes when they've been staying up later for weeks, then we have a long holiday weekend, then sports start back up, then fundraisers and other extras ramp up... you throw in frigid temps and the threat of a snow day, and everything goes off the rails.
Throw a little structure my way, universe!
Just me?
Despite it being a super wonky month for me, I did get to do some really fun things with my family. And you know I love a list, so....
My Family Fun Amongst the Chaos
- My oldest came for dinner the other night since he was in town for an eye appointment. I treasure those visits!
- My youngest son won an award for his perseverance at school, which we promptly celebrated with a dinner out.
- My daughter was nominated for an award at work up at her college. She really lucked out with an awesome boss and a fantastic job that she returns to every semester.
- My son joined the wrestling team and we have been blown away by amazing coaches and welcoming teammates. Not only have we learned about wrestling, we have had fun volunteering at tournaments.
- My daughter and I went to Holiday Tea at the Brown Palace (her Christmas gift). It was lovely.
- We saw Wicked (the movie) again and I loved it even more the second time. I'm obsessed.
- I had some great laughs on the phone with my oldest during his commute to his grown up job.
- I got to spend some extra time with the fam, which we filled with movie nights.
