Rainy days. Chilly temps Expensive travel.
Summer? Is that you?
I'm not sure about you, but it doesn't quite feel like summer to me. I haven't even busted out my capris yet. I'm still wearing full-on crew socks under my yoga (but not for yoga) pants.
And travel is almost prohibitively pricey at the moment.
What the?
I've decided that these weird summer but not summer days are perfect for family road trips. The cooler weather works nicely to prevent the inevitable swampy, sweaty family aroma, and it gives you something to do when your neighborhood pool is closed due to yet another Colorado lightning storm.
And, if it warms up for a few days, road trips are still (relatively, depending on who you are talking to) easy fun.
The price? A bit higher than normal but nowhere near the cost of plane tickets.
