Hi! I’m Christen Reiner, your local Macaroni KID publisher!
I actually started out as a Macaroni KID subscriber — and I loved it so much that I knew I had to be part of the MacKID family someday. Now, I’ve been proudly publishing Macaroni KID Lakewood-Littleton for nine years, Macaroni KID Downtown Denver for five years, and Macaroni KID Highlands Ranch-Parker-Castle Rock-Lone Tree for just over a year.
Born and raised in New York (Go, Yankees!), I moved to the Littleton area as a teenager, where I met my husband. When I became a mom, I discovered a passion for finding the best local events, destinations, activities, and businesses for Colorado families — and sharing them with others.
My husband and I have three amazing “Macaroni kids”: our 24-year-old son is an EMT in Aurora, our 20-year-old daughter studies at the University of Northern Colorado, and our youngest son is a high school sophomore. Our home also includes two cats (Finn and Charlie), a uromastyx lizard (Izzy), and a Betta fish (Susan) — plus two wonderful “bonus” kids, my oldest’s girlfriend and my daughter’s boyfriend. All of our human kids grew up in the Macaroni KID world, which means they’re now pros at photographing, writing, hosting, attending, and hunting down the best family fun in Colorado. I am one lucky lady.
Taking over my first Macaroni KID edition was truly finding my perfect career — and I haven’t looked back since.
