At artSPARK Creative Studio, summer camp isn’t about following steps or copying a project.
It’s about giving kids the space, tools, and guidance to think and create like artists.
Our camps are designed for PreK through 8th grade and invite kids to explore materials, develop ideas, and build projects over time in a real studio environment. Every day is an opportunity to experiment, problem-solve, and make something uniquely their own.
We don’t focus on perfect outcomes. We focus on creative thinking.
What Makes artSPARK Different
At artSPARK, kids aren’t told what to make. They’re supported in how to think.
Our approach is rooted in the Studio Thinking framework, helping kids build skills that go far beyond art:
- Persistence through challenges
- Problem-solving and decision-making
- Confidence in their own ideas
- Creative risk-taking
- Reflection and iteration
Because when kids learn how to think creatively, they carry that into everything they do.
What to Expect at Camp
Each week offers a fresh creative experience, but every camp shares the same core structure:
- A fully stocked studio with a wide range of materials
- Guided instruction paired with open-ended exploration
- Opportunities for both independent and collaborative work
- Projects that evolve over time (not one-and-done crafts)
Kids might explore drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, fiber arts, mixed media, and more. All in a space designed to support curiosity and creativity.
Why Families Choose artSPARK
Families come to artSPARK because they’re looking for something more than a typical camp experience.
They want a place where their child can:
- Feel ownership over their ideas
- Build confidence without pressure
- Engage deeply in creative work
- Be part of a supportive studio community
And that’s exactly what we offer.

About the Owner
artSPARK Creative Studio is owned by Heather Pridemore, a fine artist and educator with a background in museums, education, and corporate leadership.
artSPARK was founded on the belief that creativity is the new literacy and that kids deserve spaces where they can think, explore, and express ideas in ways that build confidence far beyond the studio.
