Hey Mac Families,
Have you ever had a week where you are just irritated?
Where every little thing bugs you?
Not huge things. Little things, that in the scheme of things, aren't really the end of the world... but they bug you nonetheless.
I've been irritated this week, and I feel like I need to vent a bit to turn things around, to start fresh. Would you be willing to help me out? If not, I totally understand. I don't want to bring you down, too. But if you are, you might find something on my list that also irritates you. And as they always say, it's good to know that you are not alone, so it might just make you feel a little better, too.
It irritates me when....
- Drivers don't know the rules of the road. Like when people blow straight through a right turn lane or don't pull over for emergency vehicles.
- You show up at the pharmacy five minutes into their (well deserved) lunch break. I'm sure you can guess who showed up at 1:05pm.
- Somebody eats your leftovers or the cold Coke you put in the fridge last night.
- There's no follow through at your kid's school so you have to advocate extra hard for him.
- You think that you have toothpaste in the closet but you don't, and you realize after you are out of toothpaste but have already done your shopping.
- The new dinners you tried this week were fails.
- You are so busy that you don't have time to return emails and they pile up.
- Your lizard eats mustard greens but your regular stores don't carry mustard greens so you have to make a special trip for mustard greens but the special trip store is also out of mustard greens.
- You double booked yourself.
- Your new vacuum is acting up and you don't have time to figure out what's wrong with it.
- Your kid leaves the bathroom light on in the middle of the night and it wakes you up. And then you have to pee.
- You forget to mail your mom's birthday gift so now it will be late.
- You take a bunch of pictures and then realize that there was a big old smudge on the camera lens the whole time.
A few lovely things happened this week, too...
- I got to talk to my oldest for four hours on the phone.
- I get to see my MacKID friends this week at a press event.
- My youngest took the reins on an issue he was having and worked it out himself.
- I heard from a longtime client that her summer camps sold out this year.
Aaaaahhhh, I feel better already!
Peace ☮️, Love ❤️, & Macaroni 🌼,
Christen
